
PYFFL Announces The Launch of Unified Flag Football Program!
Pembroke Youth Flag Football League is proud to announce the launch of Unified Flag Football, a program that brings together athletes with and without intellectual disabilities to compete and grow as teammates. The creation of unified sports was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
In partnership with Special Olympics, PYFFL Unified will foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and community while aligning with the national Unified Sports model supported by Special Olympics and NFLFlag.
Who Can Play?
For our inaugural season, PYFFL Unified will be open to two age groups:
🏈 Ages 10-12
🏈 Ages 13-15

✅ An end-of-season playoff celebrating growth and sportsmanship

Open to athletes of all abilities – teams will have a mix of players with and without intellectual disabilities. Players participating in other divisions of PYFFL are encouraged to join unified flag in addition to playing for their other team.
